Zhongyun (Phil) Zhou is an Associate Professor and Professor of Special Appointment at the School of Economics and Management, Tongji University. He holds two Ph.D. degrees from City University of Hong Kong and University of Science and Technology of China. His current research leverages various methods and data sources to understand the digital transformation and emerging IT applications in diverse socio-economic domains, with a special focus on the Metaverse and AI-related technologies. His work has been published in leading journals such as Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, European Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, Decision Support Systems, and others.
Phil currently serves in the editorial board of six international journals, including Journal of Management Information Systems (Special Issue Associate Editor), Information Systems Journal (Associate Editor, Special Issue Senior Editor and Associate Editor), Information Technology & People (Senior Editor) and Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (Associate Editor), among others. He also regularly serves in the program committee or as Track Co-Chair or Associate Editor of such international conferences as the International Conference on Information Systems, Americas Conference on Information Systems, Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems, and European Conference on Information Systems. He is the recipient of the Youth Innovation Award of China Information Economy Society.
